Take a deep breath and exhale

This morning, during my quiet time, I was reminded of the importance of taking a deep breath in and exhaling. The simple act of breathing, we can take it for granted can't we? Yet when you are anxious, or tired taking a few minutes to deeply breath in and out, can so quickly calm our frazzled nerves and return our focus to what is important in the moment. This morning, the LORD gently reminded me that each breath we take is a miraculous gift from him and when we take a moment to focus on that breath in and out, we can gently lean back on his chest and sense His heartbeat. Much like the disciple John did with Jesus at the last supper.

Our Father loves us so, he takes care of all the details, more than we can ever imagine. As we listen to the news and sense the anger and bitterness around us it is hard not to get caught up in all that is going on and travel down that dark path with the crowd. Yet when we take a moment to take that deep breath and let Holy Spirit fill our being, we can re align our compass toward the One who has it all under control. He loves us, he blesses those who bless Israel, when we walk with Him, he lights our path and protects our feet from stumbling on the rocks.

In the last week, I've entered in to a very busy season with a variety of sales events and new classes getting started. This morning I was reminded to "be anxious about nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving make my requests known to God." Philippians 4:6 In all of this, he reminded me to take a deep breath and lean back into His chest.

As you enter this event filled season, may you remember to take a deep breath, exhale and lean back into His chest. He has the details taken care of. He loves you so!
